Brotherly Love Gaming Episode 13: Xbox One SAD and PS5 Specs

April 19, 2019

Big news week as an exclusive Wired piece revealed the first specs for the PS5 (even though it's not coming for at least a year). Not to be outdone, Microsoft also confirmed the release of the XBOX One S All-Digital Edition, AKA the XBOX One SAD. We're not exactly thrilled about what it has to offer, and it turns out we have some feelings about those PS5 specs too! Join us on this journey to unpack WHAT IT ALL MEANS.

Monday Morning Catch-Up: 4-1-19

April 01, 2019

We got a lot of game announcements this week so it’s a new games packed episode. I talked a lot about the Sega Genesis Mini, which is available for pre-order but doesn’t seem to have the desperate fervor of previous classic consoles…which could be good or bad? We will see! Read below for links to articles and videos mentioned.

Brotherly Love Gaming Episode 12: Pokemon Memories

March 29, 2019

We’re returning to an old format this week to talk about our first memories with Pokemon, and our other brother Zack joins us. Pokemon had a huge impact on all of our lives. It helped us make friends, learn to read (me), and served as an introduction to a much larger world of gaming. We’ve grown up a lot since the late 90s so it’s easy to forget just how huge Pokemon was, but we did our best to call up those old memories!

Follow our Twitch channel at twitch.tv/brotherlyloveg1 where Alex will be streaming Yoshi’s Crafted World the day it comes out!

Kingdom Hearts 3 Chronicles - Part 10

March 19, 2019

Kingdom Hearts 3 Chronicles is my attempt to keep up with my thoughts on Kingdom Hearts III after every session. I kinda failed at that because I finished the game already and haven’t posted, but you’ll see how that happened, as the game packed so much into a short time that the posts got super long. Today’s post will cover up to the Final World and some junk around it but not the full ending of the game. Also worth knowing that I am playing on Proud Mode, the hardest difficulty available from the start.

Brotherly Love Gaming Episode 11: Is Microsoft Taking Over?

March 15, 2019

Microsoft is making some moves ahead of next week’s Game Developer’s Conference, so we break down two of the biggest headlines. First off, the Master Chief Collection is finally coming to PC, and Spence is STOKED about it. Then we finally get some confirmation that Xbox Live is hitting non-Xbox platforms, but Switch support may still be a pipe dream. Finally we wrap up with some channel talk about what we’re streaming, with a slight detour into raving about a particular Kingdom Hearts III speedrun (which you should watch at this link here: Link).

If you like what you hear, please leave us a rating on iTunes, it’s super helpful in making the podcast more findable. You can also watch our videos over on YouTube, and follow our streams on Twitch. This week Spence will be streaming some more Super Bomberman R, as well as ReCore, and I’m even planning to stream speedruns of Kingdom Hearts III.
